The Alpine County Career Center (One Stop) is a proud partner America’s Job Center of California Network. Our local comprehensive One-Stop Center in Alpine County serves as the recruitment and training center for local employers and job seekers.

Career center staff partner with public and private partners in Alpine County as well as outlying areas to provide comprehensive services for job seekers and employers. America’s Job Center strives to enhance employer business productivity and match employers with job seekers.

We also provide basic training courses and partner with Employers’ Training Resource (ETR) for more in-depth training courses. The Career Center has monthly workshops for computer skill development, 21st century skill training, financial management workshops and more.

FOR JOB SEEKERS:

Access to computers, printers and fax machines for educational and career
planning
Help to create and post your resume (including the CalJOBS website)
Help with job searches and information on job fairs
Monthly Job readiness workshops
Providing priority of service to Veterans
Information for FMLA, ADA and other programs for clients with disabilities
Programs for youth, dislocated workers and mature job seekers
Providing resources and information for entrepreneurs
Unemployment application assistance

SERVICES FOR EMPLOYERS:

Assistance with CalJOBs listings
Current Labor market Information
Job recruitment assistance and assistance with job fairs
Work experience and on-the-job training placements
Information on employer tax credits (WOTC tax credits)
Downsize and layoff aversion assistance
Information on loans, workshops and counseling
